The goal of this blog is to encourage, uplift, motivate and sometimes entertain women much like myself, who are mature and have had many interest in life. Sometimes we are late bloomers but eventually we finally find our place of peace, happiness and contentment. You may look at the title and think what in the world is she yammering about now! So, I'm sitting in my room enjoying the my morning coffee. I had just watched Steve Harvey promote the upcoming movie adaptation of his best selling book. Which you know of course, got me to thinking, how wonderful it would be if there were such a thing as a love store. What could possibly be more fabulous! A store where you can put your request in for exactly what you want and need. Sounds great doesn't it! except do you really know what you want and need? If not, that would definitely pose a problem. What's most important to you?looks, height, weight? Do you need someone intensely serious or someone who loves to joke? Light skin, dark skin or in between? Does he need to be romantic or will his just remembering your name work for you? Wouldn't it be groovy if there were an assembly line of hunky gorgeous men almost made to order just waiting to receive the finishing touches just for you? But of course that's not how it works.
The fact of the matter is, Love is beautiful and fleeting, soothing and painful like the birth of a child, challenging and enduring; love of a parent; love is having a life long friend; love is intimate; love is playful and loud; love is a shopping trip with your BFF; love is a late night conversation with your Boo! love is dancing in the kitchen to an old school song that no matter how many times your hear it you can't help but dance. Love is life long memories of people who've affected your life in positive ways.
I recently saw a posting on fb that said be F.L.Y (First Love Yourself) You can't love others if you don't love yourself.
None of us would be here if our Mama didn't feed herself first in order to get nourishment to us as she carried us in her womb.
What Love is to some may not be for others, just like a buffet we choose what we need, crave and enjoy. Now our taste will definitely vary. However the ONE THING LOVE should never be is painful physically, emotionally or mentally.
LOVE is NEVER EVER Abusive.
